Tribute to the men and women who died for us.

This is in Santa Monica, California.  I went there last May and saw this tribute. It really hit home.  I have always dreamt of world piece but my home county and the one my father came from are at war.  I deeply appreciate all the men and women who have died for me but I wish it didn't come down life or death. Seeing these shoes made it feel so real to me. These shoes were worn by some man who died because of what?....

I named him Ralph.  Ralph and I were having a conversation.  He was telling me how he is camera shy and refused to come out of his little room.  I told Ralph he is beautiful then found out Ralph  is a girl. So I had to rename her Ralphette. Poor Ralphette.

Summer 2012

I was in Detroit, and I broke into an abandon building. I saw all of this and just wondered about the history of this place. What happened here? What stories lay beneath the piles of rubble? Who was here? I hope no rats pop up out of no where. What the hell does the graffiti say? Why did I not bring spay paint because I want to tag one of these walls. Is the floor about to break underneath me? Because I hear it cracking. Actually, parts of the floors had already fallen. It was really creeping walking down the stairs in the super dark halls. After walking up a few flights of stairs, and hearing the floor creek beneath my feet, I turned to my friend and asked "what are the chances the floor will fall in right now?" Her response was that each square foot should be able to hold up to 150 lbs. I gulped realizing that I am just a bit over 150 lbs.... I want to point out that I am NOT going back to Detroit for more pictures.  Detroit is not safe.  I do not encourage you to go to Detroit.  There are safer areas to shoot were you will get great pictures and not put yourself or anyone else in danger.
